Block printing

Block printing

Block printing is a relief technique, where ink is transferred onto paper or fabric from a carved or textured object.

You can print these blocks with or without a press, using lino, wood or other various materials, even found objects, household items or veggies! It’s fun, immediate and rewarding, allowing for a wide scope of experimentation. It’s also useful to combine with other crafts such as sewing, collage, and ceramics. If you love creating handmade printed textiles to decorate your home, then this (or screen printing) is the workshop for you.

Lisa will occasionally facilitate a one-day weekend workshop in Block Printing, or integrate it into a Screen Printing evening class, so keep an eye on her upcoming workshops.
