Painterly Watercolour Monotype Workshop
A Saturday morning introductory workshop
Saturday 29 August, 2026
Held at Space Studio & Gallery - Workshop space
18 Saint Hill St, Whanganui
9.30am - 12.30pm
Join visiting Hawke's Bay artist and printmaker Lisa Feyen at Space Studio & Gallery for a fun, hands-on workshop inspired by her exhibition Silent Messengers.
Discover the magic of painterly watercolour monotype in this relaxed three-hour session, with plenty of time to play, experiment, and create your own unique prints. While most printmakers work with ink, this expressive technique uses watercolour to produce beautifully soft, atmospheric results that may surprise you.
Create stunning standalone artworks or colourful backgrounds to print over later. Suitable for all experience levels. Beginners are warmly welcome.
You will learn:
How to design/prepare an image
How to prepare your plates
How to mix and apply your paint
